Project Overview
A year-round project creating loop-based visual content for Phoenix Dart’s new vertical large-screen dart machine. The machine was designed as a display-integrated gaming device, allowing players and spectators to enjoy immersive visual content while the dart game is in progress. The core objective was to produce engaging background animations and themed visual content that could enhance the gameplay atmosphere without interfering with the game itself.
For this project, loopable videos were produced in a 1080×3840 resolution, created by vertically combining two 1080×1920 screens. Rather than functioning as simple background visuals, each piece of content was carefully designed to take full advantage of the machine’s tall vertical format, with seamless looping motion, balanced visual rhythm, and screen compositions optimized for the physical gameplay environment.
The project was planned and produced on a yearly content schedule. In addition to major seasonal event themes such as Valentine’s Day, Halloween, and Christmas, the scope also included item-based visual skin content that players could directly select or purchase. Each theme was developed to reflect the mood of the season while capturing the energy of dart gameplay and the visual impact of the large vertical screen.
The scope of work covered the full creative production process, including content concept planning, seasonal theme development, visual mood direction, motion design, loop structure design, and final video production. Since the content was displayed on a large vertical screen, special attention was given to aspect ratio, visual flow, the connection between the upper and lower screens, and the stability of seamless repeated playback.
Through this project, the Phoenix Dart machine was expanded beyond a simple game device into an entertainment platform where players could customize and enjoy visual experiences based on their preferences and seasonal moods. This project represents a year-long loop animation content production case that combines dart gameplay, spatial visual design, and the commercial potential of digital visual skins.
